Haartransplantation

High graft count & permanent hair thickening

Why FUT hair transplantation?

Modern FUT techniques allow for the harvesting of a particularly high number of grafts in a single session and are therefore especially suitable when large areas need to be treated or when a very dense reconstruction is desired. The method delivers stable results with long-term hair growth and is individually tailored to your specific situation.

What is an FUE hair transplant?

FUT hair transplantation (Follicular Unit Transplantation) is an established surgical procedure for restoring hair density in cases of severe hair loss. A narrow strip of skin is taken from the donor area, the hair follicles it contains are carefully prepared and transplanted into thinning areas – for permanent, natural-looking hair density.

Who is a suitable candidate for FUT hair transplantation?

  • Patients with advanced hair loss
  • Desire for a very high number of grafts in one session
  • Low donor density for FUE alone
  • Need for dense reconstruction of large areas
  • Men and women with genetically determined hair loss

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about FUT hair transplantation

  • Does FUT hair transplantation hurt?

Thanks to local anesthesia, the procedure is largely painless.

  • Will a scar remain?

Yes — a fine, linear scar will form in the donor area. Due to hair length and density, it is usually barely visible.

  • How long does the healing process take?

The sutures are removed after about 10–14 days, and full recovery takes a few weeks.

  • Can I care for my hair normally afterwards?

Yes — once healed, the hair can be cut and styled as usual.

  • Is the FUT method better than FUE?

Both methods have advantages: FUT is particularly suitable when large grafts are needed, FUE for smaller areas or when less scarring is desired.
